OUR FOOTPRINT
PROCESS DETAILS
Bauxite is the world’s main source of aluminium and gallium. Almost all of the aluminum that has ever been produced has been extracted from Bauxite. Bauxites are typically classified according to their intended commercial application: abrasive, cement, chemical, metallurgical, refractory, etc. The bulk of world bauxite production (approximately 85%) is used as feed for the manufacture of alumina via a wet chemical caustic leach method commonly known as the Bayer process.

OH&S
Red Rock Minerals recognises that excellence in managing Health and Safety responsibilities is essential to the long-term success of the company. To this end, the company aims to prevent injuries and occupational illness to its employees and minimise any adverse environmental impact its activities may have.
OUR SAFETY SYSTEM
In developing the Red Rock Minerals OH&S system, industry experts and relevant companies were approached to consult on the current mining industry OH&S practices and requirements. These requirements were integrated into Red Rocks OH&S management system. To monitor performance of the system, a constant improvement and review process was incorporated; this review process includes feedback from regular workplace observations, outcomes from hazard/incident reports and an annual audit/review process.
Red Rock Minerals is committed to meeting client’s OH&S requirements and stands ready to work to client requested OH&S procedures, where they exceed our minimum requirements.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONSCIOUS
We acknowledge that the nature of our operations can have significant environmental impacts. Additionally, we depend on obtaining and maintaining access to environmental resources such as land and water.
Red Rock’s approach to environmental management is based on the identification, assessment and management of risks (both threats and opportunities) across all phases of our operational activities, including exploration, development, operation and closure. Red Rock applies a Group-wide Risk Analysis Framework with in-house and third party contractors to identify and manage risks, including environmental risks, and we engage with stakeholders and take their perspectives and knowledge into account in our decision-making.
Supporting this vision is our approach to environmental management, which is embedded in our purpose to succeed. In line with framework, we acknowledge that we have a role in avoiding or minimising adverse environmental impacts through every stage of our operational activities and contributing more broadly to the resilience of the natural environment. We also recognise that our environmental performance and management of environmental impacts on our host communities is just as important as our part of contributing to social value.
